You will support the kitchen team with ingredient preparation, cleanliness, safe food handling, and station readiness. Reliability matters in this role because the quality and speed of service depend on the kitchen being prepared before customers begin placing orders.
What you will do
Core responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and keep workstations stocked and organised.
- Support cooks with service preparation, cleaning, and safe food handling.
- Wash, store, label, and rotate ingredients according to kitchen instructions.
- Keep equipment, utensils, and service areas clean and ready for use.
- Follow recipes, hygiene procedures, and instructions from the kitchen lead.
What we are looking for
Role requirements
- Minimum BECE certificate; WASSCE, TVET, or hospitality training is an advantage.
- Able to work reliably in a fast-paced kitchen and follow clear preparation instructions.
- Good personal hygiene, attention to cleanliness, and willingness to work flexible service shifts.
- Food safety, hygiene, culinary, or hospitality certificate is an advantage.

Outcomes that matter
- Ingredients and stations are prepared before service begins.
- Cleaning, storage, labelling, and food-handling routines are followed consistently.
- Cooks can rely on the workstation being stocked and organised during service.
- Instructions are followed accurately and issues are raised before they disrupt service.
